On-Campus Commencement Housing

Commencement housing applications will be available February 1–April 15, 2017 for a limited number of spaces (380 available beds) within residential houses. Graduating seniors may request as many as five beds (not five rooms) for a total of five guests by going online to Residential Life, logging into residence housing system, and completing the commencement housing application. Please note that only the graduating senior will have access to the online application. All requests and room assignments are first-come, first-served. A confirmation of reservations will be sent to students on a weekly basis throughout the application period. No more applications will be accepted once the available spaces have been taken.

Room Assignment

Please note that rooms will be located among other guests as well as students who are remaining for commencement, and are standard with twin beds, basic linens (sheets, pillows, pillowcase, and towel) and shared, coed bathrooms. Requests for shared doubles will be assigned according to availability. If doubles are not available, guest will be assigned to singles in close proximity to one another.

Check-in and Check-out

Guests may stay 1, 2, or 3 nights beginning Friday, May 26 at 2pm. Guests may check-in between 2pm and 10pm, Friday–Sunday and must check-out no later than 9am on Monday, May 30, returning room keys and access cards.

Requests for Special Accommodations

If a request includes an individual with disabilities who requires special accommodation, this should be made clear upon the submission of application. Please note that there are very limited numbers of such rooms and such requests should be made on a need basis in order to ensure that all those who have a genuine need are likely to be accommodated.

Payment

$50 per person/per bed regardless of length of stay during commencement period (May 26 – May 29). Guests may bring sleeping bags for small children who may stay in the same room at no extra cost. Cancellations will be accepted and refunded only through April 23. Please note that all charges and approved refunds will be posted to the student’s Vassar account.
